The Filament versa Resin Dilema?

So clearly you can see the low poly version at all the scales I personally use.

I feel I have to change over to a resin printer to get the quality sought by myself.

Choosing between filament and resin for 3D printing can be a tough choice, as both have their advantages and disadvantages.

Filament 3D printing, which commonly uses materials like PLA or ABS, is usually easier for beginners.

Filament printers are simple to use and produce solid, functional models. The print quality can be good.

It is especially true with higher-quality filaments, although you may see some layer lines based on your settings and print speed.

This method is great for practical uses and larger prints. On the other hand, resin 3D printing offers amazing detail and smoother finishes.

It’s perfect for intricate designs or miniatures where precision matters. Working with resin can be messier and need more care and post-processing, but the final results can be stunning.

In summary, if you want something durable and easy to use, go for filament. If detail and finish are your main goals, resin is the better choice. Both have their benefits, so it really depends on what you want to create!

Another example, this time an Opel truck WW2 German

Final example is 1/100 scale swim wagon s and a few other bits

Love the logistics element to WW2 in brief it is about the drivers and vehicles used from all countries during the period and even WW1 in some cases.
